Windows 10 brought a clipboard feature that can memorize everything you copy. It’s useful when you deal with many stuff to copy and paste, but you want them to get cleared. Here’s how to clear clipboard in Windows 10.
Windows 10’s clipboard works just like your smartphone’s keyboard clipboard, like SwiftKey’s. You copy one thing, and then another thing. Both will appear in the clipboard, which can be accessed by pressing Windows Logo+V.
When you open the clipboard, you can select any stuff you have copied to get pasted again. It’s a handy feature allowing you to pin copied information that you want to paste repeatedly, without having to copy it every single time you want to paste.
But, sometimes you copied a lot of stuff, and most of them aren’t necessary to be in the clipboard anymore. Don’t worry, it’s easy to clear them all.
How to clear clipboard in Windows 10
To do this, simply open the clipboard. Press Windows Logo+V on your keyboard at the same time.
To delete, simply click the horizontal three dots button at the copied stuff you want to clear. Select Delete to clear that copied stuff, so it’s not on the clipboard anymore.
You can also clear all of the clipboards in Windows 10. Just click the Clear all button instead of Delete.
Once you’ve cleared the clipboard, you would see a message saying “Your clipboard is empty. Let’s make some history together by copying multiple items to it.”
Disable the clipboard feature in Windows 10
If you don’t want to use Windows 10’s clipboard feature anymore, you can simply decide to disable it. This means your copied text wouldn’t be saved on the clipboard.
To do this, simply open the Start menu. Click the Settings.
Here, select Clipboard tab. On Clipboard history, simply turn off the button.
Now, Windows 10 won’t save clipboards anymore.
Windows 10 has an awesome feature called clipboard, which allows you to clear all unnecessary copied stuff so you can copy and paste stuff that is more important.
