How to Log Out of Amazon Prime on TV, Android, iPhone, & Other Devices
You can sign out everywhere, on any or all devices but it's not straightforward. Here's how to log out of Amazon Prime on TV, Android, iPhone, & more.

Amazon gives you access to Prime Video from almost any device (smart TV, Android, iPhone/iPad, your PC, a web browser, gaming consoles like PlayStation and Xbox). With this variety of devices, new Prime Video users might get confused about how to sign out an Amazon Prime Video account everywhere. Amazon Prime Video provides a way for users to sign in and sign out every time they want, but it might not be straightforward.Especially when you have signed in to the account on your TV, Xbox, PlayStation, Android, or iPhone. This post gives you detailed steps by steps on how to sign out of a Prime Video account on all devices, whether that will be through an individual device or all devices at once.
How to sign out of Amazon Prime Video
You can sign out of Amazon Prime Video on TV, Android, iPhone, Xbox, PlayStation, PC, or browser by de-registering each device either directly from the Amazon website or the device you want to log out the account of.
What does "de-register" or "register" mean?
Amazon Prime Video uses the "register" term that essentially has the same meaning as signing in, and uses the "de-register" term as signing out.
The term is used likely due to the Prime Video's device, streaming, and download limit that prevents you from streaming and downloading a particular number of videos on different devices using the same account at a particular time. At this time of writing, Amazon Prime Video documentation states that you can't stream more than three movies/TV shows simultaneously with the same Amazon account. You can't also stream the same movies/TV shows on more than two devices at the same time. If you want to sign in to a new device and you want to watch all movies and TV shows at any time, you have to ensure you have signed out of devices that anyone else actively uses.If other people use your Amazon Prime Video account and happen to watch the same content, someone has to either sign out or stop watching. Amazon also applies a similar limitation to its Kindle that requires you to register and de-register a device you want to use Kindle on.
Signing out of a device or all devices at once
When you subscribe to Amazon Prime Video, you must register a device that you want to use to watch your subscription.
You can register your iPhone, Android, PC, a smart TV, as well as some Xbox and PlayStation models or generations. To sign out is simply to de-register. Signing out can sometimes become important, too.For example, trying to fix your Prime Video problem on Samsung TV or any other brand that supports Amazon Prime Video. Each device provides a different method to log out of Amazon Prime Video.
You can sign out on each device manually if you want to keep being signed in on other devices. You can also choose to do it everywhere (on all devices) at the same time if you wish to.
