You can use WhatsApp Web in PC with any browser. Modern browsers now support notifications, that also support message notification from WhatsApp Web.

To use WhatsApp Desktop, you have to download the app first.
Open Microsoft Store.

Once the page load, click Get or Install to download WhatsApp Desktop for Windows 10 PC.
Then, the download process will starts.
Once the download process is complete, open the app and scan the QR code using your WhatsApp mobile app.
How to Use WhatsApp Desktop Client for PC/Mac
