Some have problems hearing other Xbox gamers due to the mic.

Especially if you use the Xbox One Chat Headset. This specific issue has some ways to get fixed.Try unplugging and plugging the headset cable back to the Xbox controller. You might have muted the chat unintentionally.

To unmute, or even unblock, you can press the Xbox button.Go to the Multiplayer, and select Party. Choose which Xbox user to unmute, then choose the Unmute button. Are you still not able to hear others? Make sure your Xbox One controllers are up-to-date.Out-dated drivers might make the audio sounds choppy.

You may have a network problem

If you can't still hear others in the party chat, you might have a network problem that prevents you from hearing others properly.

Some people experience this on PC. If Xbox Live is down, you may not be able to play multiplayer games at all. That means something must be wrong on your own console.
